विधि विभाग द्वारा उच्चतम न्यायालय की ई-समिति के समन्वय से राष्ट्रीय ई-गवर्नेंस योजना (NeGP) के अंतर्गत ई-कोर्ट मिशन मोड परियोजना का कार्यान्वयन किया जा रहा है। परियोजना के तृतीय चरण में न्यायिक दक्षता बढ़ाने हेतु कृत्रिम बुद्धिमत्ता (AI) जैसी उभरती प्रौद्योगिकियों को अपनाने का प्रावधान किया गया है ।
NIC के कृत्रिम बुद्धिमत्ता प्रभाग तथा ई-न्यायालय उत्कृष्टता केंद्र (CoEE), पुणे ने माननीय न्यायाधीशों की विधिक शोध एवं दस्तावेज़ विश्लेषण में सहायता के लिए एआई-आधारित लीगल रिसर्च एनालिसिस असिस्टेंट (AI-based Legal Research Analysis Assistant) विकसित किया है। इसके अतिरिक्त डिजिटल कोर्ट्स 2.1 नामक एकीकृत डिजिटल केस प्रबंधन मंच भी विकसित किया गया है, जिसमें वॉयस-टू-टेक्स्ट, अनुवाद तथा निर्णय-लेखन में सहायता जैसी एआई-सक्षम सुविधाएँ उपलब्ध हैं। दोनों उपकरण वर्तमान में प्रारंभिक परीक्षण चरण में हैं । इनके उपयोग एवं संचालन का ढाँचा माननीय उच्चतम न्यायालय तथा संबंधित माननीय उच्च न्यायालयों की नीतियों एवं नियमों के अनुसार निर्धारित किया जाएगा।

Project : Project Developed under the e-Courts Mission Mode Project. Implemented under the National e-Governance Plan (NeGP). Currently in Phase III, focusing on the adoption of emerging technologies.
Legal Research Analysis Assistant : AI-powered tool to assist Hon'ble judges in legal research.Supports document analysis.Enhances the speed and quality of judicial decision-making.
Digital Courts 2.1 : AI-enabled integrated digital case management platform . Provides a single-window interface for case information.Features voice-to-text transcription. Supports AI-based translation. Assists Hon'ble judges in drafting orders and judgments.
Current Status : Both AI tools are in the pilot / testing phase.
Governance : Future deployment and use will be governed by the Rules of Business and policies of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India and the respective Hon'ble High Courts. [31JUL2026]
